What
We Believe: Many people who are not familiar with the Nazarene church have questions about our beliefs and teaching. We are a protestant Christian denomination that teaches fundamental Bible truths. We believe in one God, who is the Creator of all things. We believe that all people are born with a sinful nature, which causes them to sin against God. But we also believe that God’s love for us caused Him to provide a way for us to be freely forgiven of our sins. That’s why God sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Through His sacrifice, we have the gift of salvation offered. We can choose either to accept or reject this gift God makes available to all of us. Those who choose to accept Jesus as their savior have the promise of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life in heaven. Those who choose to reject this gift will be eternally lost without God. We believe and teach that Christians are to live a life set apart from sin, and that this is made possible by the power of the Holy Spirit. In short, we believe that God can change people’s lives. It is our desire that Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene will be a place where people can experience that life-changing power of God.
